Lake Powell 2012

Finally, a trip to Powell with no MAJOR mishaps. It didn't rain and threaten to blow us away, I didn't have to build a bridge out of rocks in 100 degree heat, I didn't have to get stitched up on the dock, and Nate actually caught some fish. :) And Sage got to come along which made everything funny. It was a fly by night trip but we had a blast. We camped out on the lake at the former Sierra Robinson Memorial Diving rock which was so far out of the water that it was now named the Button Hole Campground.
We water skied and wake boarded until we were so soar we couldn't handle it. Nate is getting good at jumping on the wake board and my attempts at jumping on the water ski are still sub par and cause me to make ridiculous faces. We fished a Striper boil that happened right at camp and caught ten fish in five minutes. I even ran a net to Nate bare foot through muscle shells. Can you say best wife ever? Even Sage tried to catch a Striper. It was hilarious. Sage loves Lake Powell and now it is two against one in our house. A boat and many Powell trips are in our future if the dog has anything to say about it. :)
